The mission of the Task Force is to propose actionable and sustainable steps to identify and overcome racial inequity in the College of Sciences.

We aspire to ensure a research and educational environment in which all members of our community (students, staff and faculty) may thrive.

Whether their journey started in Georgia, in another state, or in another country, our graduates discovered something else in the heart of Atlanta: the Tech experience, which involves forming new and lasting friendships, stretching out of their comfort zones, becoming part of the Georgia Tech family, and more.

One is a pioneer of mathematical analysis as applied to global companies, at a time when women in this line of work were rare. Another is helping to design the sports footwear of the future. Some found themselves in careers close to the degree they earned at Georgia Tech. Others parlayed their Georgia Tech science education into management consulting or business law.

2018 Georgia Tech Faculty & Staff Awards

College of Sciences faculty, staff, and a Ph.D. student take home 17 awards

Seventeen members of staff and faculty in the College of Sciences and one Ph.D. student have been selected to receive 17 awards for the 2017-18 academic year. They are being recognized for innovation and excellence in research support, education, scholarship, and outreach.

2018 Black History Month

February is Black History Month, a special time set aside to celebrate the contributions of African Americans. The College of Sciences joins the celebration by inviting the perspectives of African-American colleagues.
