Undergraduate Advising

Academic advising for College of Science students is done through their major school. Students who have declared a CoS major and want to consult with their advisor should make an appointment via the Advising Scheduler. Those who are unsure of who their advisor is should consult the Advisor List to locate advisors for their major.

Students in the College of Sciences who have not declared a major (UCS) are advised by Dr. Dana Hartley, Director of Academic Advising.  Students can make an appointment via the Advising Scheduler

To declare a major UCS students should:

  • Download a Change of Major form from the Registrar’s Office web site
  • Make an appointment with an advisor in your proposed major to discuss the requirements of the major and obtain a signature on the Change of Major form.
  • Bring the Change of Major form to Dr. Hartley, (French Building, room 215) for her signature.
  • Turn the form in to the Registrar's Office (room 104)

After the change of major request has been processed you will be assigned an advisor in your major school.

Information concerning pre-heath profession preparation is available. Additional information and assistance can be obtained through the Pre-Health advisor.  To make an appointment, go to the Advising Scheduler.
